AIR CHARTERS

Hunt prices represent a package price, including airfare from Yellowknife/Humpy Lake/Little Forehead Lake & return.  the air charter cost is included.

Making Things Easier:

The Outfitter will prepare the final hunt package.   This includes:

Hunt Agreement, NWT License Application & GNWT regulations booklet, Invoice for balance of hunt due 60 days prior to hunt, What to bring list, Where to stay in Yellowknife list, Most recent newsletter, letter with instructions for completing forms and what to do when in Yellowknife before and after the hunt.               

 

Hunting Schedule:

Hunts are scheduled over a 7 day and 6 night period. Day 1 hunters take off from the float plane base at 11:00 AM, arriving at camp 12:10PM and Little Forehead Lake at 12:20. There is a 12 hour wait required by NWT law before hunting begins. Days 2,3,4,5 & 6 are full hunting days with day 7 allowing for morning to hunt, if need be, departing from camp to Yellowknife at 12:30 from Humpy Lake and 12:45 from Little Forehead Lake..

COST OF CARIBOU HUNTS

FOR BOTH HUMPY LAKE AND Little Forehead Lake AS FOLLOWS:

Two Tag Hunt - 2 X 1  $5,600 US

Two Tag Hunt - 1 X 1 $8,900 US
Observer --$3,800 US

Maximum Group Size is 12 Persons

Wolf and Wolverine Tags may be purchased at no increase in cost of hunt. However, if a tag is used during the hunt, there will be an extra $250 US - CAMP TROPHY FEE for each tag filled.

Deposit: 50% is required to confirm booking date

Balance of payment is required 90 days before departure of the hunt.  Balance of payment is non-refundable once made, unless a substitute hunter is found.

Package Price Includes:
Air charter to camp from Yellowknife and return, accommodations, meals, guides, boats, and caping service.  It does not include commercial airfare to Yellowknife, hotel in Yellowknife nor gratuities to guids and other support staff.  { Payments by VISA by FAX with an additional 4% processing fee.

License and Trophy Fees:
For expediency, your license and tags will be purchased for you before you arrive.   Your license application will be sent to you in early spring with your pre-hunt package.  The license application must be returned to us for processing by May 31.   Tow tags with license for Caribou is $150 cdn.  Wolf, wolverine and small game tags cost $50 cdn each to the Dept of Resources, Wildlife and Economic Development, Gov't of the NWT.  Visa and Master Card and/or American Express may be used to pay for trophy fees.

Clothing and Equipment:
Fall hunting we recommend bringing clothing to keep you warm, dry and comfortable with weather conditions ranging from warm to wet and cold.  Clothing items should include long underwear and thermal undershirts, loose fitting woolen or waterproof pants, warm shirts, light weight parka, wind breaker, insulated vest, warm hat, raincoat and pants, waterproof walking boots with liners and of couse don't forget your comfortable camp clothes, running shoes and personal items.  You will also need to bring a warm sleeping bag and a towel.  Pillow, clean case and sheet are provided in camp.
Binoculars, range finder, camera, rifle and/or bow case.  To eliminate unnecessary weight and bulk, it may be necessary for hunters to leave hard luggage gun cases in storage in Yellowknife.  So, just in case, bring a soft padded gun case for the charter flight.  Of course bring fishing tackle (light).
